A five bedroom terrace in Crumpsall sold for almost double its guide price as Edward Mellor and Roger Hannah’s June Auction sold more than £4.5m of property.
The property on Rectory Road, Crumpsall, was sold as seen with a guide of £70,000, but a fracas of bids from across a busy auction room finally saw the gavel brought down at an incredible £138,000.
Other big sales on the day included a large detached building on Wardle Road, Sale, which was split into five flats and attracted huge interest from developers, builders and buy-to-let landlords. Guided at £650,000, the property finally sold at £700,000 following a tense bidding war.
Any properties which did not sell on the day are still available to buy, with some available at bargain prices.
