According to Smart Insights, there were 3.196 billion active, global users on social media in 2018. With 2.23 billion on Facebook, 800 million users on Instagram and 336 million users on Twitter.

Here at Edward Mellor, we take full advantage of these outstanding statistics, with active use of Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube!

We’ve finely tuned our marketing strategy to incorporate all things social media, to make sure that your property is getting the maximum amount of exposure.

With a combined following of over 26,500 across all of our social media platforms* we have a massive reach, especially against our local competitors.

Our posts also consist of local news and property news as well as anything relevant internally, for example, if one of our sales administrators receive a gift from a client. This creates a real community feel within our social media meaning that people are actively following and engaging with our posts.

We utilise Instagram to target our younger audience, often First Time Buyers looking who might not use Facebook or Twitter. We find it is a fantastic way to show off our properties purely via the amazing images our team takes.

At Edward Mellor, we recognise Social Media is an extremely important part of marketing property, especially with the fast pace of changes in the digital world, which some of our local competitors do not take full advantage of.

Our posts perform exceptionally organically showing that our posts often perform well without even having to spend money on them because we already have that initial following/ audience.

We’re not shy of creating adverts on Facebook and Instagram. This is called ‘boosting’ and allows us to reach thousands of people, whom we can then directly target.

For example, if the property was perfect for a first-time buyer, we can boost it to specifically target that demographic, giving the property maximum reach and generating interest, pretty cool!

Facebook adverts alone, we really do go above and beyond, with last month’s advertisements reaching over 250,000 impressions. Over the course of 2018, we spent more than £12,000 on Facebook advertisements, reaching nearly 3,000,000 impressions.

We’re not afraid to get on camera, and you’ll find us on YouTube promoting and posting videos of the different services we provide, such as Auction.
