Just because we’re on lockdown doesn’t mean you can’t get your weekly dose of dance music!
Despite being isolated from one another a Manchester-based orchestra is still managing to uplift the public by performing house and dance music.
The Kaleidescope Orchestra, co-founded by Steve Pycroft, has performed at dance festivals such as Creamfields and now you can experience them in your front room.
Who’s ready for a living room rave? Our new Lockdown Session coming at 1pm today! https://t.co/OqGUGokp84 @ClassicFM @BBCRadio3 @MENnewsdesk @BBCRadioManc

The Lockdown Sessions have already begun with renditions of Swedish House Mafia’s ‘Don’t You Worry Child’ and N-Trance’s ‘Set You Free’.
If you missed out you can still experience these amazing covers on their YouTube channel.
The orchestra plans to post a new video every week so make sure you subscribe to their channel!
Steve composes the music then sends the arrangement around for everyone to play and video their own parts.
Then the wonders of technology come into play and the separate videos are stitched together to create one amazing cover.
Some of the musicians have their own home studios however many are just filming on iPhones, which Steve believes “really makes it feel homemade”.
The Kaleidscope Orchestra want to “bring a bit of joy and happiness to people who are stuck inside”.
So give them a follow on YouTube, Facebook or Twitter and bring the rave to your living room.
