This showroom will be the first in the UK to offer a bistro and dedicated event facility.
A brand-new showroom is set to open in our home town, Stockport! It will allow customers to build their very own, personalised cars.
This new Mercedes-Benz site won’t be your everyday showroom – it’s set to be the largest in Europe, complete with industry-leading facilities.
Not only will it be a fantastic place for you to go and create your dream car, but it will also massively benefit Stockport economically, creating over 50 jobs!
LSH Auto UK, part of the Mercedes-Benz retail group, commented on the new place, saying it ‘will reap the economic benefits of its ambitious plans which includes significant financial investment in the area while safeguarding and creating 55 new jobs’.
LSJ has regenerated the site off Brighton Road, with a stunning state-of-the-art, three-story facility, which will become the hub for all things Mercedes-Benz in Greater Manchester
Once complete, the 10.5-acre site will be a showcase for 140 vehicles! It will incorporate a dedicated AMG suite and display 100 approved used Mercedes Benz vehicles in a purpose-built indoor showroom.
It will have 30 workshop bays plus dedicated configuration areas meaning customers can fully personalise a new car to suit their needs – and that’s not all! The showroom will feature the Mercedes Benz new electric range – EQ.
The showroom will be the first in the UK to offer a new bistro and dedicated event facility. It’s the first Mercedes-Benz showroom in the UK to offer this new hospitality concept and it comes complete with a hospitality manager.
It has now been granted a licence to serve alcohol to its customers and intends to serve wines and craft beers from a cafe-bar! The dealership was also given permission to show films in a ‘small movie room’, including product launches and motorsport events.
The new facility will welcome customers not just to purchase a car, but for breakfast and lunch. This new space will also be available to hire for private meetings and events.
Outside, there will be a green space and water features.
John Stanton, general manager at Mercedes-Benz of Stockport, said: “The Mercedes-Benz of Stockport development is going to be a game changer for car retail as we know it.
“Due to its sheer scale, and customer offering – in terms of vehicles and world-class facilities – this site will be a completely new experience for returning and new customers alike.
“Stockport will also be the Mercedes-Benz hub of Manchester – giving impressive claim to the soon to open state-of-the-art facility.
“We are creating a landmark destination, which is unparalleled to anything else in the area, offering customers and the general public an opportunity to experience Mercedes-Benz and LSH under one roof.
“We are also committed to sustainability in our design and operations. We are making wide-ranging environmental improvements to the area; firstly, with our regeneration of the former derelict site and the addition of the green spaces.
“The development also complies with the Government’s BREEAM environmental scheme.”
The site is due to open this summer, July 2019.
