Current Buyer Trends in Northwich

Northwich is a fantastic area with convenient local amenities, reputable schools and great transport links into Manchester and Liverpool, making is very popular with a wide range of different buyers. It’s an extremely attractive area for buyers seeking to remain in commutable distance from Manchester while living in a residential, family friendly area. Additionally, house prices are lower than those in the city centre, making it a favourable option for first-time buyers. 

Consequently, the market is very healthy, particularly within the lower and middle price bracket. Northwich town centre and Hartford are particularly popular this month due to the abundance of convenient local amenities, such as longstanding reputable schools and transport links. 

Similarly to last month, we saw an increase in first-time buyer sales; predominantly with properties priced between £150-£250k selling well. The upper end of the market also sees a significant amount of interest from buyers seeking to upsize, however, homes marketed over £500k require a sensitive pricing strategy.  

A range of different properties are available currently within Northwich, however there has been a spike is terrace homes coming to the market due to the increase in onwards movers upsizing into semi-detached properties and new builds, therefore freeing up terraces.
