It’s pretty much guaranteed that our competitors have been telling their clients that the market is quiet.
One agent in Marple even advised a client not to bother listing their house until after the 19th January because they didn’t believe anything would be happening until after that specific date. Bizarre, right?
As an estate agent with nearly two decades worth of experience in the industry – I find this quite alarming.
From an outside perspective, it looks like the branch has no drive to sell any of their existing stock.
It almost appears that they’re using Brexit as an excuse to relax during a very busy period of the year – especially for the property market.
At the end of the day, my perspective doesn’t matter too much. What does matter is the quality of service their existing clients are receiving.
Excuses in place of a proactive marketing strategy and bags of enthusiasm will sabotage any chance of a house sale.
We have continued relentlessly through December and the first 2 weeks of January with a lot of success. We have agreed 10 sales and listed a very healthy 12 houses in December alone.
What’s been the secret to our success in these supposedly quiet market conditions?
A killer marketing strategy, a huge database of buyers and a great team dedicated to providing outstanding service. Achieving the best possible price for our vendor is our optimum goal regardless of the time of year, Brexit or anything else for that matter.
