The events of the Manchester attack sent shockwaves throughout the world and many in our region are still trying to come to terms with what happened. A fundraising appeal for the victims of the Manchester bombings. So far over £5 million has been raised by people across the country and it continues to rise every day.
Manchester is our city and witnessing the united strength of the community in and around the North West and nationally has given us motivation to set up this page and get involved in helping in any way we can. As a city we are strong and as a united community, we are stronger. Businesses and residents opened their doors, Taxi drivers offered free rides home, and businesses have helped donate hundreds of thousands to those in need.
The wonderful people of Stockport, the home of Edward Mellor, have also banded together setting up a lovely memorial outside Stockport’s Cobden Statue on St. Petersgate road. Over the years here at Edward Mellor we always try to do our part raising money for a wide variety of charities across the country including wish upon a star, and MacMillan and this is no different.
At Edward Mellor, we want to do our bit and help raise some more but also make a stand together in defiance against terrorism reflecting on the events of that day and all those who lost their life. We must not let horrific events like affect our amazing city and we must keep our Mancunian spirits high. We will not let them win! Because of this, we have decided to give away 2 pairs of tickets to this years Parklife Music Festival one of the biggest music events of the year.
Experience one of the biggest music festivals of the year headlined by some of the best international artists to date including Stormzy, The 1975, Frank Ocean plus over 100 other amazing musicians. Performing over a two day period at Heaton Park Manchester on Saturday 10th June and Sunday 11th June this is one of the most anticipated music events of the year!
