We’ve had a glorious spell of sunshine this summer, haven’t we! Temperatures have hit highs of 30 degrees which has transformed our city into the perfect summer escape. We’ve got plenty of places to enjoy the sunshine – but the only thing we seem to be missing is a beach.
This August bank holiday there’s no need to travel further than Tameside to enjoy the sand between your toes. The Droylsden Town Team are promising to provide all the main ingredience of a famous seaside resort – by bringing the beach to their local residents.
You can expect to see golden sand, deck chairs, BBQ’s and a bar over the bank holiday weekend in Droylsden. There’s going to be an array of fun-filled activities for kids including Punch and Judy, fun fair rides and donkey rides for the smaller ones (sorry adults).
It’s set to take place over two days, so be sure to pencil the date in your diary!
