March has been a busy month for our auction team, with two property auctions running from 5th-6th March 2025 and 26th-27th March 2025

Over the course of our two auction events, we sold over 60 properties, generating more than £9.9 million for our grateful vendors!

During our 26th-27th March online auction, we sold 37 properties, generating more than £4.8 Million in sales.

Auction Success Stories

This month’s auction success stories highlight how our proven auction method can help vendors sell with speed and certainty.

Each of the lots presented here represents an example of where our clients had struggled to sell their property on the open market or through other agents. By employing years of auction experience and targeted marketing strategies, our team was able to deliver fantastic results for our vendors.

Lot 18 – 22 Billinge Road, Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan

After months of being on the open market, the vendors had reached a standstill and felt like the property would never sell. 

With just one week to go before our 26th March auction, we stepped in, arranged last-minute viewings, and worked quickly to get the legal pack prepared. The property went on to sell for £136,000 – £21,000 above the agreed reserve price! 

The vendors were ecstatic and finally able to gain closure on their mum and dad’s old house. This is a brilliant example of how auction sales can deliver results where the open market struggles.

Lot 37 – 124 Victoria Street, Openshaw

Our client decided to sell this property after the tenants had vacated. They were concerned about it standing empty so needed a quick sale. 

We agreed to aim for a reserve of £100,000 to £110,000 and placed a starting bid of £98,000. Given the vendor’s motivation to sell quickly, the reserve was set at an incredibly attractive £105,000. 

We know from experience that once the lot flashes “reserve met”, buyers know they can buy the property. After some competitive bidding, the eventual sale price was £140,000.

Lot 57 – 22 Holyrood Road, Prestwich

After an unsuccessful attempt to sell their tenanted property with another auction house, our vendor felt that a significant price reduction would be necessary to secure a sale. However, after trusting in our process and expertise, they entered the property into our March auction.

With our extensive buyer database and proactive approach, we successfully achieved a sale price of £24,000 above the guide price. Delighted with the result, the vendor was pleased not only with the higher-than-expected price but also with the smooth and efficient process, which provided him with the certainty and speed they had hoped for.
