Former landmark pub, The Bow Garrett in Edgeley has now finished its transformation into a new apartment block – and the finished product is amazing.
The council’s central area committee approved plans to turn the derelict building into eight flats back in 2017.
The Bow Garrett pub, a listed building of architectural interest, has been part of Stockport’s history for centuries.
Built in 1774, the Bow Garrett started life as the Buckley Arms. The pub was later renamed the Bow Garrett and was rebuilt in 1893.
After serving beer to the local punters for over two hundred years, the Bow Garrett finally called last orders and closed in 2008.
The old building on Brinksway, Edgeley, has stood empty for over a decade – and now has a whole new lease of life.
Developers, Gravitas UK Ltd, have created eight high-spec one and two bedroom apartments that are now available to buy.
Each apartment features modern décor, a social open plan living room and a fully integrated kitchen with quality appliances. These include a fridge/freezer, a cooker and a washing machine.
These apartments also boast ample loft storage space, a dedicated parking space, a storeroom/bike store in the basement & secure bicycle parking in the car park.
Although the former pub has been completely transformed, much of its original structure is still present.
It’s also worth noting that each apartment is unique. Although each bespoke apartment is finished to the same exceptional standard, they’ve got individual features.
