There is an exciting event coming to our home town, Stockport.
It is a brand-new event for 2019, and it is set to become a must-do event. It is following the York- Leeds – York and the Cheshire Cats.
Set to start in the lovely St Peters Square in Stockport town centre, just outside Edward Mellor HQ, It makes a perfect day out for anyone who loves cycling.
It is set to run through picturesque roads in Manchester and Sheffield. It really is one you will not want to miss out on but, of course, it is not going to be a walk in the park, with many hills to be expected throughout the routes.
There are 3 different routes you can choose from, depending on which difficulty you feel suits you. With the long route being one of the toughest rides the Velo 29 holds.
Each route has its fair share of elevation gain, with both the medium and long routes tackling the famous Snakes Pass.
It gets better, each route will have award-winning food at the feed stations with the long route having a feed at Hillsborough, home of Sheffield Wednesday FC.
