The company was founded in 1983, by the eponymous Edward Mellor with a single estate agency in Reddish. Mr. Mellor Senior still maintains a keen interest in the company’s development, whilst his son, Colin Mellor, is now Chief Executive, working alongside Managing Director, Peter Barlow.

In 2004 saw the opening of  Edward Mellor headquarters in Stockport to house all of our centralised services, and today Edward Mellor boasts a multi-branch estate agency network throughout Tameside, Stockport, Cheshire, and Greater Manchester as well as the North West’s leading monthly online property auction.

Edward Mellor offers fully integrated financial services, planning, conveyancing, and surveying businesses as well as property management and property development. The business is an innovative and cutting-edge property group employing over 150+ staff.
