Duck Race

Rub-a-dub-dub, River Medlock is turning yellow this Sunday!

Friends of Clayton Vale, supported by Manchester Leisure and Medlock Valley Project, have arranged their famous Quacky Races fundraising day and you’re invited to come along.

Here’s everything you need to know

When: Sunday 26th May, 1 pm – 4 pm

Where: Clayton Vale Centre, Edge Lane, Clayton

What: Quacky Races and more!

On your marks, get set, the first race is at 1:30 pm and the fun continues all afternoon!

The river will be bubbling with hundreds of little yellow rubber ducks, bobbing their way to the finish line.

Stick around and you’ll be able to take part in loads of exciting activities that you might not have had the chance to experience it before.

Ever thrown an axe or unleashed your inner Robin Hood and tried out archery? At Clayton Vale Centre you can give it all a go this Sunday.

If cold-blooded creatures happen to be your favourite, you’ll be happy to hear there’s a selection of reptiles on display.

Don’t be put off by their scaly appearance, bearded dragons actually make fantastic pets for children and adults alike!

For the more faint-hearted, there’s plenty of fun and games to enjoy. Everyone loves a Tombola, where taking a whirl could mean you’ll win a lovely prize to take back home.

There’s a fantastic craft stall for those who love to get creative.

Once you’ve thrown an axe or two and tickled a lizard under the chin, you’ll be able to chill out and relax with a delicious refreshment at the café.

The Tuck Shop will also be waiting to serve you a sweet treat later on in the afternoon too.

There’s something for everyone this Sunday and the very best part is, admission is free for all!

Get yourself, your friends and family down to Clayton Vale Centre at 1 pm for a fun-filled afternoon and show your support for a very special community.
