‘Despite 2020 being a year that we could never have predicted, Edward Mellor’s auction program for this year has been a great success. There has clearly been a massive appetite for purchasing property and development opportunities via our auction and we are certainly looking forward to the program we have lined up for 2021. The Edward Mellor Auction team has worked fantastic in keeping the auction department and processes as normal as possible and as long as it has been safe to do so.
We would all like to wish everyone a Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year.’
We still have a number of properties for sale post-auction, so make sure you take a look. You could grab yourself a bargain! View outstanding properties.
Take a look at a few residential and commercial properties that had great results for our vendors.
One bedroomed apartment in a central location close to all local amenities in Latchford, Warrington and just a short drive to Stockton Heath and Warrington town centre. The property has been previously tenanted achieving £450PCM but currently undergoing renovation and untenanted. Our vendor had come to Edward Mellor Auctions wanting a hassle-free process to sell the property so we opened the bidding at £30,000 achieving 15 bids ending at £18,000 over the starting bid selling for £48,000. Our vendor was very happy with the overall process and the selling price achieved.
A fully refurbished 3 bedroom mid terraced house in Abbey Hey ready to walk into. Opening bidding started at £95,000 and with 33 bids achieving an auction price of £116,000. The vendor was happy with the achieved outcome and from the date of instruction to the date of exchange took 13 days.
This 4-bed terrace property presented as a buy to let investment or ideal large family home. Having been on the open market since February we were able to achieve an auction sale of £177,000 for the vendor.
Opening bidding started at £140,000 and 34 bid later we have sold the property. From instruction to exchange we were able to do this in 13 days. Another happy vendor for the Auction Team
The success of our online auction just goes to show that despite these unpredictable times, life goes on and the process of buying and selling property is still something that can be achieved.
